The Giardinetta Alfasud Estate is a rare car having been principally produced in Southern Italy for the local market from 1975-78.the model was blighted by factory strikes where body panels were left untreated for months before finding their way to the assembly line. The cars did not earn a good reputation for quality nor reliability as a result and only 6000 were produced.

This car came from South Africa in right hand drive. As will many classics the car appeared sound at first but it’s fair share of corrosion was apparent on disassembly. The Alfasud has gone through a comprehensive restoration programme together with a colour change to Verde Matese which matches an original Giardinetta colour. This is complimented by Cinnamon vinyl and houndstooth cloth inserts on the seats along with black carpets.
